My birthday is a mere seven days away. I will be twenty-seven years old, a throw away age if ever there was one. My daughter will be out of town on my actual birthday and I’ll celebrate with my family the week after, but I might hang out with some friends on the actual day — I don’t know yet. Feel free to shower me with money or books or both! I certainly won’t hold it against you. ;-)

TC: Do you mean the TNIV? If so I’ve never seen what the big deal was. Is it that much better than the NIV? I’m also weary about the gender inclusive language (even though I’m an egalitarian — go figure!). I notice you procured a bunch of free copies for pastors — well done!
We are wishing you an early Happy 27th Birthday! I just turned 30… I created a count down to my 50th. I figure that is the next BIG birthday to ‘celebrate.’

Shaun: Yes, in particular I’m hopeful that someone will mail be a bag full of money! :-P I’m always half joking (and only half) when I solicit books from my adoring fans. I never actually expect anyone to get me anything.
