I was going to ignore the issue but I decided that I’d ramble for a few minutes about T. D. Jakes and the Elephant Room. Give it a listen, or don’t, either way.
Here’s some other posts to check out on the topic:

Thanks Nick. I linked my readers to your concise but savvy discussion on the matter. http://theologicalsushi.blogspot.com/2012/01/t-d-jakes-and-oneness-theology.html
Hodge: I moved your comment to this post since I think it’s the one you meant to comment on. Hope you don’t mind.
And thanks! I always appreciate some traffic.
Thanks for correcting that, Nick. God bless.
Hi Nick,
It is so funny to hear your voice.
Great audio post.
Hodge: My pleasure.
JJ; Thanks. It’s always funny to hear someone’s voice when you’ve only read their words. I always think, “Hey! They don’t sound anything like me!” since it’s always my voice I hear when reading.
Thanks for sharing, bro. Its always good to put a voice behind a person. Blessings!
Yet Jakes continues to be popular in places like the church I grew up in. Not as popular as Hagee, but that’s a problem in and of itself.
Come to think of it, Hagee should be catching just as much crap as Jakes.
Troy: My pleasure.
Derek: Yeah, most folks I go to church with these days like him, and Benny Hinn, and a whole host of other folks I’d rather not mention.
