In the Mail

Eerdmans sent along a copy of Cistercian Europe: Architecture of Contemplation for review. This book is humongous. I don’t know the exact dimensions, but it’s big. I haven’t even unwrapped it to look inside yet. Don’t know when I’ll get to it. I didn’t request this one; it was a surprise.

  1. Oh, wow! That looks amazing. I once conducted a detailed study of the architecture of Medieval cathedrals and cloisters in Western Europe for a seminar; I wish something like this had been available then!

  2. Esteban: Why does that not surprise me? It appears to have been sent to me by mistake. The press release inside the package was for A Companion to Biblical Interpretation in Early Judaism, which I did request. I’ll have to contact them later today and see how they want to proceed.
