In the Mail (or, And So It Continues)

I just got the Gears of War Triple Pack and the copy of LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars that I ordered the other day. They shipped from Lexington, KY. Click that link to familiarize yourself with my many problems with this particular processing warehouse. Today’s shipment is no exception. I picked up the package and I heard something moving inside of the Gears of War Triple Pack. Apparently one of the plastic tabs that held the top disc in place broke off. Here’s a pic:

I don’t know how they always manage to screw things up. Thankfully the discs appear to be unharmed. I’ll have to try them out and see.

  1. I sometimes have problems with Amazon shipments, but I love their customer service. They send me new copies (usually overnighted) and pay for the return shipment. I’m actually willing to pay a little more for Amazon’s superior customer service.

By the way, I’m not convinced that *all* the problems are Amazon’s — I think they often get flawed stock from their distributors.

  2. Theophrastus: There is an established pattern of damaged goods when my Amazon orders ship from Lexington, KY. I don’t have this problem when they ship from PA, DE, NV, AZ, NJ, or anywhere else. I can’t possibly imagine that this one particular processing center gets that much flawed stock. I have to imagine that the pick-packers simply aren’t careful.
