Here’s the top 10 movies I’ve seen this year (n.b. that they all didn’t come out in 2009 and I didn’t see them all in the theater):
- Taken
- Gran Torino
- Sherlock Holmes
- Law Abiding Citizen
- Star Trek
- Doubt
- Let the Right One In
- Zombieland
- X-Men Origins: Wolverine
- Lars and the Real Girl

Another person who needs to see Moon
And how you can count Wolverine as a good film, never mind a best is beyond me
Doug: I just read a synopsis of Moon and it sounds quite boring. I’ll probably end up seeing it at some point or another but it’s not on my short list.
As for Wolverine, I like action flicks and I like comic book flicks, and this was both. I liked the X-Men movies that came before it but this one was better than the last 2 for sure.
I had reservations about Shelock Holmes. But, had it not been for Taken, it would have been my number one this year. Espeacially if you are a fan of the novels. Robert Downey Jr. is a genius:
1) Iron Man
2) Tropic Thunder
3) The Soloist
4) Sherlock Holmes
5) Iron Man 2
Keep ’em coming Mr. Downey!
Derek: Iron Man 2 looks awesome, doesn’t it? Especially with Don Cheadle in it.
Happy New Year!
