In the Mail

I received a few books today.

First up was a copy of Steven M. Studebaker’s From Pentecost to the Triune God: A Pentecostal Trinitarian Theology. Eerdmans sent this one for review and I’m going to get into this one immediately. I’ve been waiting a good while for this one!

Second was a copy of John S. Dickerson’s The Great Evangelical Recession from Baker. I didn’t request this one and it doesn’t seem like a topic that I’m interested in so I doubt I’ll get to it any time soon, if at all.

Third was a copy of Michael Horton’s Pilgrim Theology: Core Doctrines for Christian Disciples, which as I understand it, is an abridgment of his The Christian Faith: A Systematic Theology for Pilgrims On the Way. But I also understand that there’s some fresh content in this as well. This one came with an accompanying study/discussion guide. Zondervan sent this one for review and I’m looking forward to seeing if it will a useful teaching tool in a church context.

  1. Can’t wait for your review of “From Pentacost to the Triune God”. And my wish list usually has gotten substantially fatter after reading your blog.
