In the Mail

WJK sent along copies of Marinus de Jonge’s Christology in Context: The Earliest Christian Responses to Jesus and Rudolf Schnackenburg’s Jesus in the Gospels: A Biblical Christologyfor review.

I’ve been hearing great things about Schnackenburg for years so it’s about time that I give him a read.

  1. I had to read Schnackenburg, along with John Howard Yoder, for a Christology seminar in college. I still am grateful for that. As for De Jonge, I haven’t read this particular book, but I thought God’s Final Envoy was excellent. I look forward to reading your thoughts.

  2. Nick Norelli says:

Esteban: I almost purchased God’s Final Envoy the other day but I opted for the Two Views on Women in Ministry book instead. Maybe next time.

  3. You bought what instead?! Man, I could’ve just given you my copy. Meh.

  4. Nick Norelli says:

Esteban: Yeah, but I needed it, like, now! ;-)

  5. Oh, immediate access is highly overrated. It well could have gone atop the pile of books I’m going to send you someday! ;-)

  6. Nick Norelli says:

    Esteban: Uh huh… ;-)
