In the Mail

IVP sent along a copy of John Sailhamer’s The Meaning of the Pentateuch: Revelation, Composition and Interpretation.  I hadn’t requested it so it was a nice surprise.  I don’t know when I’ll have a chance to get into it because there’s plenty of book ahead of it, but I can say that I used Sailhamer’s commentary on Genesis in the Expositor’s Bible Commentary set with some profit so I can reasonably expect the same here.

  1. Sweet. You definitely can’t go wrong.

  2. TC: Yeah, it looks pretty good. We’ll see.

  3. Man, I thought I got too many books in the mail! Judging by your blog, you get books all the time. Wow, when do you find the time to read them all?

    Martin.

  4. Martin: It only seems like I get books all the time. I can assure you, there’s plenty of times when they’re not coming in that I wish they were! And in short, I don’t find the time to read them all. I can’t count how many are just waiting to be read. But since I worked from home for the last two years and am recently unemployed I have had quite a bit of time to read a lot of them.

  5. Hope you find a job soon… especially one that lets you read all the time!! : )

  6. Briyan: Thanks, me too!

  11. Art: Request a copy from IVP. I’m sure they’d be happy to send one your way.
