IVP sent along a copy of John Sailhamer’s The Meaning of the Pentateuch: Revelation, Composition and Interpretation. I hadn’t requested it so it was a nice surprise. I don’t know when I’ll have a chance to get into it because there’s plenty of book ahead of it, but I can say that I used Sailhamer’s commentary on Genesis in the Expositor’s Bible Commentary set with some profit so I can reasonably expect the same here.

Man, I thought I got too many books in the mail! Judging by your blog, you get books all the time. Wow, when do you find the time to read them all?
Martin.

Martin: It only seems like I get books all the time. I can assure you, there’s plenty of times when they’re not coming in that I wish they were! And in short, I don’t find the time to read them all. I can’t count how many are just waiting to be read. But since I worked from home for the last two years and am recently unemployed I have had quite a bit of time to read a lot of them.
