Here’s What I Don’t Get

We ordered Chinese food for dinner earlier.  One of the things we ordered was sweet & sour chicken.  When we go to pick the food up they say they ran out of sweet & sour chicken, what else would we like?  So we say General Tso’s chicken.  They make it.  Here’s what I don’t get.  If you have the chicken to make General Tso’s chicken then how don’t you have it to make sweet & sour chicken?  Did you perchance run out of the stuff you use to make the batter for the chicken, i.e., water and flour?  Doubtful.  Is the problem that you’ve no more white meat and don’t want to use dark meat for the dish?  Maybe.  No sauce?  Not a chance.  They make that stuff in 5 gallon buckets.  I suspect that the chef was just being lazy.  In any event, the General Tso’s chicken was delicious.

  1. Seriously…even 5 gal buckets are not bottomless…*; )

  2. Nancy: This is true, but not the problem last night.

  3. I take Tso’s over Sweet and Sour any day. Maybe the Tso’s isn’t chicken!?!

  4. Nate: I used to think it was cat, but I’ve never tasted a cat that was as good as General Tso’s chicken!

  5. @Nate…With all the flack over truth in labeling if it weren’t chicken…they would have to call it…Tso’s M² or Tso’s M³.

Code for Mystery Meat or Mystery Meat Medley…*; )
