I saw the coming attractions for Watchmen earlier tonight and let me tell you, it looks great! Make sure you visit the web site and check out the trailer. It’s the film adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ 1986-87 comic book series (and later graphic novel) of the same name, originally published by DC Comics.
Superhero/Archvillian movies have really come into their own over the last ten years or so. Aside from a few duds like The Punisher (Thomas Jane); Elektra (Jennifer Garner); and The Hulk (Eric Bana), comic book flicks have been great and they’ve only gotten increasingly better. From the Blade, Spiderman & X-Men trilogies to Superman Returns and the Batman movies, Marvel and DC have really been churning out some quality stuff. It’s an exciting time to be a comic book movie fan.

It’s been so long since I read _Watchmen_ I can almost be surprised at the plot developments of the movie.
The trailer looks great, but this is one comic adaptation to film that’s going to get a microscopic examination. The book is almost comic book scripture to a lot of fans.

Chuck: What I look for more than correspondence to the book/comic is a great overall movie. Some loose adaptations make great movies, some more literal adaptations make crappy movies. If I were to judge by the trailer than I’d guess this one is going to be good.
