Weird Worship Meme

David Ker tagged me with a weird worship meme in which I’m supposed to list five weird worship songs.  The problem is that I don’t know any (aside from those ‘Jesus is my boyfriend songs’).  All the worship songs I know make perfect sense, and I tend to listen to a lot of rap in my spare time, so I’m not as engrossed in the whole worship music scene as I probably should be.  So it is for this reason that I must decline this meme.

  1. Can’t you list some weird rap songs instead? I guess to qualify for the meme they have to have some kind of religious theme. Actually a Christian rap you linked to not long ago was quite weird enough I would think.

  2. Listening to rap is weird worship in and of itself!

  3. nick – best weird worship song ever – Dropkick me jesus through the goal posts of life

  4. Peter: I could list some weird rap songs, but that’s not what the meme is about.

ElShaddai: I don’t know what you’re talking about.

Roger: Now that is a weird one.

  5. Nick, why worry what the meme is supposed to be about? Are you afraid of the big bad Ker rapping(!) your knuckles for going off topic? See what I have made of this meme!

  6. Peter: I generally stick to the plan. If I want to do something different then I’ll start a new one. And yes, I read yours. Very interesting…

  7. Good plan and no hurt feelings. This whole thing about drop kicking rappers has me intrigued though.

  8. David: It would be a sin to drop kick a rapper. Whoever suggested such evil should repent!

  9. Did you see this yet?

  10. ElShaddai: Yes, unfortunately, I did see that. It is perhaps the the second worst thing I’ve ever seen. Not only did I not find it funny, I found the rapping to be horrendous, and they managed to make me nearly hate one of my favorite beats to one of my favorite Jay-Z songs. Awful, awful stuff! :o
