When Minds Run Wild

Ras Kass is not the most well-known rapper in the world, but I’ve been a fan of his since he first came out.  Believe it or not, there was a time when I thought very similarly to him, or at least to the things he expressed in his music.  Here is a song off of his softmore album Rasassination, entitled: “Interview with the Vampire.”  Here we have a blend of Black Muslim theology with Christian theology, a bit of humanism, and even some atheistic bits.  It’s a great song, but one filled with confusion.  There is profanity, so if that sort of thing offends you, please, don’t listen.  Otherwise, enjoy!

Rasassination

Classic title… not too bad.

Nathan: Classic album as well. Not quite as good as his first, but close.

I ended up listening to a few other songs of his on YouTube. You should have seen my family roll their eyes.

Nathan: I can imagine!
