Don’t ever, and I mean ever, leave a comment that is 5 times the length of my original post. One gentleman has done so recently, and he has been warned. All gargantuan comments will be erased without any further warning than what you are reading now. I think it a bit disrespectful to load someone’s comment box with such a massive amount of commentary. If you have your own blog, write it there and leave a link. If you don’t have your own blog, start one.
Oh, and please, don’t anyone try to be funny and leave some ridiculously long comment to this post and end it with a smiley face or wink like I’m not going to be annoyed and erase it.

Drat! You know I’m going to be all self-conscious now.

One way to stopt his would, of course, be to write longer posts

Nathan: Sux to be you. :-P
Doug: The post was fairly long. The comment was ridiculously long, but to make things worse, he simply repeated what he had said in his previous comments.

Er, sorry about my last comment. ;-)

So 4x longer is okay, then?

Geoff: It’s quite simple. A certain individual left a super-long comment that simply rehashed things he had already said and I had already responded to. In my aggrivation, I penned this post to let all future commentators know not to do what he did. But you have nothing to worry about, your comments are always short and sweet, as is evidenced by this last one. :)
Esteban: The difference between your comment and his was that you were not repeating yourself ad nauseum, and what you did say was well informed and directly in response the other commentators who disagreed with you. It was also relevant to the body of the post. Plus, I like you, and you’re a Trinitarian. ;)
This gentleman simply repeated other comments that he had made previously in that thread, continued to level charges without backing them up, and tried to make my comment box all about him and his beliefs, the whole time being rude, and annoying.
Big difference! I wrote this post in a state of utter annoyance. Of course I will allow certain long comments when they are appropriate.
Chuck: For everyone except Southern Baptists, yes! :-P

Finally I gave a lot of thought and you delete me ;-)
Good for you! Down with over kill responses! Get to the point, that is what I say, even in person, just get to the point please.

Robert: Haha! I’ll only delete those who deserve to be deleted. And I’m with you, get to the point! That’s why I’m not a phone guy. I hate it when people call me to talk about nothing. Just call me to set up plans or share some information, if I want to talk for a long time then I’ll go see them in person.
