I’d just like to say that I think the first (hopefully annual) Trinity Blogging Summit was a success. I still haven’t worked through all the posts yet but those I have read are quite good. Thanks again to everyone who participated. I’d also like to mention that the summit is not really over. If you’d like to contribute a post then please, feel free, I will update the table of contents accordingly. My buddy Esteban Vázquez has been promising me a post and I know Mike Aubrey has been extremely busy and was unable to complete his, so I will be adding theirs to the mix as soon as I get them. I had considered adding various posts on the Trinity that I’ve come across recently but in the end decided not to. I think there should be a willing and active participation on the part of those posting. I don’t want to poach anyone else’s work.
Having said all that, is there anything that anyone would suggest I do differently for the next summit? I was wondering if it would be better to do it more like a carnival where everyone hosts their own post and the person holding the summit just links to them. I was also thinking if it would be better to simply link to Microsoft Word documents rather than having the actual post appear on the blog (I only say this because there were some formatting issues and I had to get creative with invisible periods and whatnot to make the posts look halfway decent). Also, would it be better to make this more formal like the Balthasar Blog Conference with its plenary posts and responses or the Karl Barth Blog Conference with its specific focus on one of Barth’s works?
I’m open to all suggestions, but as it stands I think that the 2008 TBS was a hit!
