Gordon B. Hinckley Dies at 97

gbhinckley.jpgGordon B. Hinckley died yesterday (1/27/0 8) after nearly 13 years as the president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (i.e., the Mormons).  Read the story here.  My condolences to his family and friends.  While I don’t feel that Mormons are Christians in any sense of the word, it’s never pleasant to hear of anyone’s death, especially the death of a non-Christian.

no man has the authority to judge whether or not one is a believer or one’s spiritual fate… you will know them by their fruit … every person will reap what they sow… work out your own salvation.. you will be judged by the same measure you judge… an over overcome is one that keeps the commandments of God and has the “testimony of “jesus” which is the spirit of prophecy/ Spirit of truth… One must try the spirits whether they be of God… be sure you have the Genuine and not one of serpents counterfeits … The Spirit of truth leads into all truth… teaches, guides, directs, comforts, brings to remembrance and shows you things to come… it is written the NEW will be written in hearts that God’s Torah (instructions) will be written in the heart … one must have the circumsion of the heart and the renewing of the mind.. it is God’s way NOT man’s way… What is Truth read Psalms 119 … thy Word is lamp onto my path thy law (torah/instructions) is truth what is the duty of man to fear (reverance) God and keep his commandments… Do you hear the shofar (the last trumpet call) sounding… Come out of her my people and be NOT partakers of her sins
